The mechanics of the game are equally groundbreaking. While you're off adventuring and pushing the plot forward, they'll be doing the same, making friendships and rivalries, sometimes resulting in you having to make tough decisions. More importantly, they interact with each OTHER. You have to really get to know the other characters in order to predict their actions with any consistency, but no matter how well you feel you know them, there's always more to discover, just like real people, and they will continue to surprise you. They have flaws, they make mistakes, at times they can even be predictable - but in a good way. The characters are fabulously well made, acting and behaving like real people would. I've spent hours going through it, and still only seemed to scratch the surface. It's full of lore and general information about the Bakugan universe, but it offers it in such a way that while it's not mandatory that you read any of it, you actually WANT to.

This game offers one of the most complex, deep storylines with the single most engaging plot I've ever encountered. I won't spoil anything, because I want everyone to go into this game with no idea as to what will happen. It ages extremely well, as I still find myself coming back to it again and again. Rivaling most every game on the market (and surely the greatest DS game to ever grace the face of this Earth), I have yet to discover a single flaw in this game to date. Regardless, I gave the game a shot, and what I found was extremely surprising to me: the game was fantastic.
